Tokyo Disneyland Park and Tokyo DisneySea Park
Attendance Figures for Fiscal Year 2016
URAYASU, CHIBA—Tokyo Disney Resort® announced today that the total combined attendance at Tokyo Disneyland® Park and Tokyo DisneySea® Park for fiscal year 2016 (April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017) amounted to 30,004,000 persons (187,000 less persons, or99.4% of the attendance figure for the previous year).
In fiscal year 2016, the new show “Crystal Wishes Journey,” presented exclusively during “Tokyo DisneySea 15th Anniversary: The Year of Wishes,” attracted Guests to the Park. Moreover, the opening of “Camp Woodchuck,” a new area in Westernland at Tokyo Disneyland, as well as the special events filled with seasonal happiness that were held at the two Parks throughout the year, proved to be highly popular.
While these special event and shows were well received, the high number of rainy days and extreme weather conditions during the first half of the fiscal year were factors that resulted in the total combined attendance of 30,004,000 persons.
